New legislation aims to raise the federal minimum wage for the first time since 2008.
One year ago, the Inflation Reduction Act became law. I’m thrilled to be traveling coast to coast on a national bus tour with Protect Our Care to celebrate that achievement, and to share the news about all the changes to our health care system in the past few years under the Biden administration.
Gas prices throughout the United States have continued their upward trend over the previous months and years, due to increasing oil prices.
New Hampshire officials in charge of investigating elder abuse are ramping up staff and education efforts to better protect the state’s growing elderly population.
Here in New Hampshire the price of gas per gallon has fallen to $3.484, a 2 cent per gallon decrease compared to one month ago.
But this year the New Hampshire Legislature and the governor made significant investments in our state’s children. By doing so, they invested in the future of the Granite State.
In 2019, the state of New Hampshire banned firefighting foams containing PFAS chemicals, as mounting evidence linked the widely used fire suppressant to higher cancer rates among firefighters and contamination of drinking water.
As 90-degree summer heat hangs over Manchester, residents do their best to stay cool. In one window, a fleece red-and-white holiday blanket hangs to block out the sun. In another, socks are crammed into the window gaps to prevent any AC air from leaking out.
Experts predict an increase in extreme precipitation events through the next century, bringing new emphasis to the importance of dam safety in New Hampshire.
