The Flume Gorge and Franconia Notch

At the foot of Mount Liberty, in Franconia Notch State Park, is the 800-foot-long Flume Gorge, a rock crevice. The creek that runs through it is 70 to 80 feet below the walls of this structure.

The Franconia is one of the largest notches in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where retreating glaciers created a slot across a mountain range. Numerous miles of hiking paths, a campsite, and Echo Lake State Park, which features a lovely sandy beach and boat rentals, are all located in Franconia Notch.

Hampton Beach

Despite having the lowest seacoast of any state, New Hampshire is home to one of the Northeast’s most renowned family beach resorts, Hampton Beach, which has enjoyed popularity for decades.

These were constructed to hold a ballroom, tea rooms, and family entertainment rather than for gambling. The 1899-built Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom is now a live music and comedy venue on the boardwalk that runs beside the expansive white sand beach.

There are also fireworks displays, movies on the beach, and music at the Seashell Stage in Hampton Beach State Park.

When worldwide competitors compete for the title at the Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition each June, the beach transforms into a massive art gallery.

The White Mountain National Forest

The White Mountain National Forest, one of the most visited places in the entire state of New Hampshire, offers visitors some of the state’s most breathtaking landscapes.

There are several breathtaking peaks, as well as a profusion of unusual wildlife and plants, in the mountain ranges that wind through the never-ending forest, including the Presidential Range and the Sandwich Range.

Moose, black bears, bald eagles, and many more different species are concealed within the thick vegetation. A wonderful way to truly immerse yourself in the gorgeous nature all around you is to camp out overnight in the national forest.
